What is a background-checked Worker?

GigSmart helps you find workers who have passed background checks.

Background-checked workers are eligible workers over the age of 18 who have passed a Checkr background check. Checkr is a third-party solution used by many companies, like Uber, to process background checks. 

Background checks are optional but are added to your Shift Gig by default. This is done intentionally to give you the best possible applicant pool for each of your Shift Gigs. There are no additional fees for sourcing background-checked workers versus non-background-checked workers. 

If you choose to remove this optional Add-On, we want to remind you that you’re sourcing workers without background checks at your own risk.
