What is the Location Time Summary?
See how a Worker’s paid time compares to where they actually were during a Shift.
The Location Time Summary compares a Worker’s clock-in and clock-out times against their Location Data, so you can confirm the hours on their Timesheet match the time they were on-site before you approve payment. It always reflects the Worker’s Original Timesheet, since that is the only Timesheet with Location Data.
You’ll find it wherever you review Timesheets. It’s collapsed by default — select “Show More” to see the full breakdown.
What does each value in the Location Time Summary mean?
Every line reflects the Worker’s Original Timesheet.
- Total Paid Time — The Worker’s total time worked, minus any unpaid breaks.
- Total Time On-Site — The total time the Worker was inside the Geofence, from their first on-site ping to their last, regardless of whether they were clocked in.
- Scheduled Start / Scheduled End — The Shift’s scheduled start and end times. ASAP Shifts show “ASAP” for the start.
- Actual Clock-in / Actual Clock-out — When the Worker’s clock was actually started and stopped. If you or another manager started or stopped it, that name appears underneath. “Never” means the clock was never started or stopped.
- First On-site Ping / Last On-site Ping — The first and last times the Worker’s device was detected inside the Geofence. “None” means the device was never detected on-site.
- Clocked-in Time On-site — Time the Worker was clocked in and inside the Geofence.
- Clocked-in Time Outside Geofence — Time the Worker was clocked in but outside the Geofence.
- Clocked-in Time Missing Location Data — Time the Worker was clocked in but their device wasn’t sharing location, usually because permissions were off or there was no service.
- Geofence Exits — The number of times the Worker left the Geofence and didn’t return.
What do the colors in the Location Time Summary mean?
Green means verified on-site, red means it’s worth a closer look.
Green text (with a checkmark) means the action happened inside the Geofence and checks out — a green Actual Clock-in or Actual Clock-out means the Worker started or ended their Shift on-site.
Red text is a flag to review before approving. A value turns red when:
- The clock was started or stopped outside the Geofence, or was never started or stopped (“Never”).
- There’s no on-site ping (“None”).
- Total Time On-Site is zero, or is less than the Total Paid Time or Clocked-in Time On-site.
- Clocked-in Time On-site is zero.
- There’s any Clocked-in Time Outside Geofence, Clocked-in Time Missing Location Data, or one or more Geofence Exits.
Gray text is supporting detail, like a date or a manager’s name — nothing to action. A red flag doesn’t prevent you from approving the Timesheet; it’s there to help you review before you do.
Where can I find the Location Time Summary?
You’ll find it any time you are reviewing a timesheet. In the Bulk by Name and Roster by Name tables, look for the Total Time On-Site column, and select the question-mark icon next to Total Paid Time to open the full summary.
Why doesn't my Travel & Delivery Shift show the Location Time Summary?
These Shifts involve moving between locations, so on-site data at the starting location doesn’t apply.
